Indications Gastropell Daily is an oral paste for the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers in horses. It contains Omeprazole, a dose-dependent inhibitor of gastric acid secretion which acts as a proton pump inhibitor. Omeprazole is proven to inhibit equine gastric acid secretion to maintain gastric acidity at a non-aggressive level which allows ulcers to heal within two weeks of commencing therapy, and prevents re-occurrence of ulcers at a �maintenance� dose. Omeprazole acts rapidly to decrease gastric acid secretion. Administering Gastropell Daily at 10mL/500kg bodyweight once daily can provide rapid healing of gastric ulcers while horses remain in training, as usually evident by an improvement in clinical condition within two weeks of commencing treatment. Indications: Equinate I.V Injection is indicated in the treatment of lameness in horses due to non-infectious acute synovitis possibly associated with early equine degenerative joint disease. Equinate I.V Injection is a clear colourless solution administered by intravenous injection. The active ingredient is extracted from the capsule of a selected microorganism and purified to produce a pure form of sodium hyaluronate that is essentially free of protein or nucleic acids. Indications Equine Bute Paste is a non-steroidal antiinflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic oral paste for the relief of painful musculoskeletal conditions in horses. Equine Bute Paste aids in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and soft tissue injuries in horses where anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and analgesic activity would be beneficial. Phenylbutazone inhibits the enzyme cyclooxygenase there by preventing the formation of arachidonic acid derived inflammatory mediators� thromboxane, prostaglandin and prostacyclin�s. Phenylbutazone is 96-99% bound to plasma proteins and is eliminated by hepatic metabolism. The serum half-life of phenylbutazone is dose dependant, ranging in the horse from 3.5 hours at a dose of 2g/450kg to 6 hours at a dose of 8g/450kg bodyweight. Therapeutic efficacy of the drug may last for about 24 hours, probably due to irreversible binding of the drug to cyclooxygenase. It is indicated for the treatment of respiratory infections caused by organisms susceptible to a combination of sulfadimidine and trimethoprim, as seen in pneumonia in foals, strangles, and in complicated equine viral respiratory disease. Bromhexine is an effective mucolytic reducing clinical signs and complications of respiratory disease. Using Bromo Tmps Oral Powder avoids the adverse side effects such as sweating, excitation and tachycardia, often seen with the use of beta-adrenergic bronchodilators.
