Spectrum Art Glass has gained a solid reputation for quality craftsmanship in stained glass and leadlight manufacture. Leadlights are individual pieces of clear, coloured or textured glass cut to shape and leaded together to form a design. This type of glass can be used for domestic or commercial appliactions. Our skills enable us to replicate turn of the century panels often found in older buildings. Stained glass is hand painted and kiln fired glass which is then leaded together to form a design. Water Jet Cutter

Water jet cutting, or abrasive jet cutting can be used on glass, metals, ceramics, plastics, rubber, foam, textiles, even stone with no heat affected zone to worry about in high tensile steels. To lift large slabs of stone or heavy sheets of glass we have lifting equipment & an overhead gantry crane. This technology uses extremely high pressure to focus ordinary water through a jewel orifice into a fine stream. This stream carries powdered garnet, which can cut through almost any material. We manufacture Slumped textural mirrors as shown in this gallery in standard or non standard shapes & sizes, using different types of enhancements ranging from silvering, colourbacking, sandblasting, custom texturising. The slumped mirror back is generally annealled when mounted directly on to the wall . Halo mirrors are textural glass with the centre water jet cut out leaving the mirror exposed which is fixed to the wall & the slumped textural glass frame or halo is mounted of the wall with 20mm, 30mm to 50mm SSteel spacers & heads.
